Job summary

State of South Carolina, Department of Public Health, seeks a Social Work Consultant in the STD/HIV/VH Section. Under general direction, you plan, develop, evaluate, and provide administrative direction for public health social work statewide.

You will supervise staff, provide consultation, participate in policy development, and support Ending the HIV Epidemic initiatives, with hybrid work options after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited program.
• Master's degree in Social Work with LMSW or LISW licensure by the SC Board.
• Minimum four years of professional social work experience, with at least two in administration or supervision.
• Licensure as LMSW or LISW by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, administer and evaluate social work services within the STD/HIV/VH Section.
• Provide specialized consultation to staff and ensure linkage to care per grant requirements.
• Participate in program planning, policy development and cross-agency coordination.
• Lead professional development and training for staff and partners.
