Job summary

The Fund for Public Health in New York City is seeking a Relay Program Coordinator to coordinate staff schedules across 17 contracted hospitals, track program materials, and support recruitment efforts within the Relay Initiative of the Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Use.

The role requires collaboration with staff for coverage, maintaining accurate schedules in a scheduling system, and ensuring adequate program materials are accessible to staff for engagement with participants.

Qualifications

• Be able to work independently with excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of substance use, harm reduction, and drug treatment resources.
• Physical requirement: lift up to 20 pounds for program inventory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program resources provided to the community, including naloxone, harm reduction and overdose prevention materials; regularly track, re-order, assemble, and distribute program resources.
• Coordinate staff recruitment efforts with community-based organizations; manage screening and hiring process for Relay staff; track candidates, conduct interviews, and reference checks.
• Create daily and monthly hospital coverage schedules for Relay staff; communicate changes to all staff; troubleshoot staffing needs with Supervisors and Program Manager.
• Plan monthly staffing coverage in collaboration with the Program Manager and Program Assistant; use availability data to troubleshoot overnight/weekend changes.
• Monitor scheduling needs via Relay Coverage email account and respond to same-day callouts.
