Job summary

Pima County Health Department seeks a Public Health Program Coordinator to join the Quality and Process Improvement Team, helping advance department-wide performance and equity. You will support initiatives to optimize workflows, coordinate projects, and analyze outcomes across programs.

You’ll collaborate with public health professionals, manage data-driven tools, track milestones, and assist with budget and procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of coordinating, monitoring, and/or administering public health program activities or administrative support.
• Four years of experience with Pima County in specified public health classifications as determined by the department head.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program activities, timelines, and resources.
• Develop and maintain project plans with program managers to meet goals.
• Track progress, milestones, and deliverables including grant contracts.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data related to program performance and impact.
• Support community outreach and public health education activities.
• Lead community engagement, needs assessments, and partnership development.
• Assist in budget management, expense tracking, and procurement.
• Identify areas for program improvement and implement corrective actions.
• May supervise staff and support professional development plans.
