Job summary

Pima County Health Department is seeking a Public Health Program Coordinator to help drive quality improvement, coordinate programs, and strengthen health systems across county services. You’ll work with public health professionals to improve workflows, manage program plans, and ensure data-driven decisions that advance community health.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data collection and analysis, budgeting, procurement, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, public health, healthcare administration or related field, plus two years’ experience coordinating public health programs.
Alternatively, four years of experience in public health program administration or related roles with county.
Relevant professional education/experience may substitute for degrees.

Responsibilities

Coordinate program activities, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient execution.
Collaborate with program managers to develop project plans and meet goals.
Track progress, milestones, and deliverables, including contracts.
Collect, organize, and analyze data related to program performance and impact.
Assist in budget management and procurement activities.
Support community outreach and public health education efforts.
Lead community engagement, needs assessments, and partnership development.
Supervise staff and support development plans.
