Eastern Washington University in Spokane invites applications for a part-time (50%), 12-month Program Specialist 2 in Public Health. The role supports advising, program assessment, student recruitment, and coordination of services for MPH, certificates, HCAD, and minor programs.

The PS2 reports to the PHHA chair and helps maintain accreditation, coordinate applied practice experiences, and liaise with students, faculty, and external partners to ensure program success while upholding EWU's

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; field in health care or public health preferred.
• Experience applying program procedures, managing timelines, and coordinating multiple deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Experience supporting admissions, advising, or student services is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate program services and resources; oversee day-to-day operations.
• Develop plans for program activities and interpret policies.
• Maintain websites, Canvas hubs, and program materials.
• Coordinate scheduling, room reservations, and textbook orders.
• Attend meetings and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate Applied Practice Experiences (APE) and internships.
• Participate in recruitment, outreach, and community relations activities.
• Plan events and special projects for the department.
