Job summary

County of Tulare is forming an employment list to fill current and future vacancies within the Health & Human Services Agency in Visalia. The list is expected to last six months. Spanish bilingual designated positions will receive an additional $0.63 per hour, with a Spanish proficiency exam required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree as a minimum; focus areas include general education, business, public administration, or a closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible supervisory or administrative experience in emergency management, or WIC clinic setting, local government or health and human services.
• Experience with supervision, evaluation, counseling, training, and policy development.
• Knowledge of emergency management, SEMS ICS/NIMS, and health program operations; ability to manage budgets and monitor performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of Public Health programs, including QA/QC, customer service, safety, process improvement, electronic health records, and staff supervision.
• Plan, organize and direct work of office staff delivering services to clients.
• Review staff work for compliance with policies and quality standards; prepare statistical reports for analysis and performance.
• Create and manage contracted services for Public Health programs.
