Job summary

The CDC Foundation in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Program Officer to lead a large-scale public health systems transformation initiative under a statewide grant program.

You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with client leadership, monitor performance, and ensure deliverables align with contractual requirements and program objectives. This role requires strong leadership, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or related field required.
• Minimum of 10 years managing complex multistakeholder public health initiatives.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and state agency partnerships.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems and budgeting preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordinated management of multiple, time-bound projects to advance program implementation.
• Formulate goals, plans, standards, and priorities to ensure consistency with SOPs.
• Build partnerships and provide strategic implementation expertise for outcomes.
• Hire, supervise, mentor, and serve as a technical partner for staff.
• Serve as primary liaison to client’s program and operational staff.
• Manage budgeting, reporting, and evaluation of project impact and performance.
• Develop and maintain project workplans, timelines, and deliverable schedules.
• Monitor performance, risks, and progress; coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Ensure quality assurance across all deliverables.
• Support resource mobilization and staffing needs.
