Job summary

Pima County Health Department is recruiting a Public Health Program Manager I to design and lead prevention strategies for chronic diseases and injuries. You will supervise a team of coordinators and health educators, collaborate with partners, and manage program budgets and grants to improve community health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of related public health program coordination/management experience.
• Three years of experience with Pima County in a public health management or coordinator role.
• Relevant education/experience may be substituted as allowed by policy.

Responsibilities

• Designs and leads strategies coordinating, amplifying, and expanding prevention efforts for chronic diseases and injuries.
• Oversees program activities and grant deliverables including outreach, education, and service delivery.
• Ensures programs run efficiently within timelines and budgets and monitors progress.
• Collects and analyzes program data to assess impact and informs improvements.
• Prepares program reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Builds relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
• Manages program budgets, including grant budgets and expenditures.
• Supervises and mentors staff, providing guidance and professional development.
