Job summary

Pima County seeks a Public Health Program Manager II to lead environmental health initiatives, directing strategic planning and cross‑sector collaboration to address heat, air and water quality, and other risks. This role partners with community and academic stakeholders to advance environmental justice and resilient health systems.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree plus four years of related experience (two supervisory), with Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, public or business administration or a related field with four years of related experience, including two years in supervision.
• OR three years of experience with Pima County as a Public Health Program Manager or similar management role.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in design, development, and execution of public health programs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to plan and execute programs on time and within budget.
• Monitor expenditures, grant compliance, and resource allocation for program activity.
• Identify and secure grant funding to support program sustainability and expansion.
• Collaborate with partners and engage with community input to shape initiatives.
