City of Brownwood, TX is seeking a full-time Public Health/PHEP support role to assist the PHP Manager and Health Department staff in emergency planning and response. Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in emergency management, epidemiology, or program management preferred.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Aufgaben

• Maintain weekly flu reporting and conduct disease surveillance and investigation using NEDSS and coordinate with regional/state epidemiology offices.
• Assess Brownwood/Brown County resources for use during emergencies; prepare inventory management reports and distribution plans.
• Assist in developing and executing preparedness exercises.
• Assist with public meetings and presentations.
• Create and maintain databases to meet program priorities.
• Draft educational programs and present to the community.
• Maintain records of PHEP activities and programmatic expenditures.
• Assist PHEP Manager with scheduling, travel arrangements, and meeting registration.
• Participate in trainings and may require overnight travel.
• Respond in emergency situations with possible irregular hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
