Job summary

Qualifications

  • Completion of one year of College Course Work or Equivalent.
  • Equivalency: 1 year of knowledge, skills, experience and interest.

Responsibilities

  • Assist assigned Health Department Supervisor while being trained in on their field of work.
  • Assist in enforcement of City ordinances and Federal regulations under supervision.
  • Collaborate on projects, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Data entry and record keeping.
  • Investigate issues and report findings.
  • Develop understanding of public health laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide customer service in person, over the phone, or via email.
  • Engage with internal and external agencies to meet health goals.
  • Participate in special projects supporting priorities and initiatives.
  • Support community engagement and public health education initiatives.
  • Build professional skills through mentorship and projects.
  • Complete capstone project or final report summarizing accomplishments.
