Hennepin County is seeking a Community Health Specialist to join the Public Health Promotion program. The role focuses on creating school environments that support and encourage physical activity through walking and biking to school, aligning with our mission to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce health disparities.
This position offers an intermittent appointment with non-permanent hours capped at 1,039 per year, and up to six months total.
The mission of the Public Health Promotion program area is to champion healthy lifestyles and environments and address health disparities. This area seeks a Community Health Specialist to join its team. The employee in this position will focus on creating school environments that support and encourage physical activity through walking and biking to school.Intermittent appointments are non-permanent, non-benefit earning positions that shall not exceed 1,039 work hours in any twelve-month period. The employee in this position will work a unique schedule comprised of nearly full-time hours, including some periods of few or no hours (school breaks, summer vacation), for a maximum duration of no more than six (6) months.
