Job summary

The City of Berkeley is seeking a Health Services Supervisor to join the Health, Housing and Community Services (HHCS) Department. You will oversee day-to-day operations of health clinics and/or complex health programs with a high degree of accountability and ongoing decision-making responsibility for assigned programs in the Public Health Division.

The position supports operational infrastructure and day-to-day fiscal management across the Public Health Division, including revenue monitoring,

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from college or university with major coursework in public health, nursing, psychology, health education or a closely related field.
• Five years of experience as a health professional in a public health agency.
• Two years supervisory experience including budget and program development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of health clinics and/or complex health programs with high accountability and decision-making responsibility.
• Monitor and maximize revenue, track division-wide expenditures, and participate in annual budget planning and analysis.
• Travel to various locations within and outside the City to support program needs.
