The Virginia Department of Health Blue Ridge Health District seeks an Office Services Specialist for the Louisa County Health Department. You will support day-to-day office operations, provide exceptional public service, and may travel within the district to other localities as needed.

You will perform administrative tasks for Immunization, Family Planning, STI, TB, Nursing Home Screenings, and WIC; manage records, data entry, mail, deposits, and client charts.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of office and administrative principles and practices.
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
• Ability to interpret and follow established procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing.
• Considerable skill in the operation of standard office equipment.

Aufgaben

• Support day-to-day office operations for Immunization, Family Planning, STI, TB, Nursing Home Screenings, and WIC.
• Pull, file, purge records; perform typing, data entry, faxing for Nursing staff and Program Consultants; assist with mailings and deposits.
• Provide education on program guidelines and use of benefits; verify insurance coverage; collect and enter payments; reconcile cash and receipts.
