Job summary

La Crosse County Health Department in Public Health Nursing is seeking a professional registered nurse to join our team. This FLSA-exempt role reports to the Public Health Nursing Manager, beginning with close supervision during probation and moving toward greater independence while delivering preventative nursing care in the community.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• Experience in maternal child health, immunizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor population health status and community needs; analyze data and disseminate findings.
• Investigate health problems and respond to hazards affecting the population.
• Educate communities through presentations to groups and policy makers.
• Collaborate with partners to plan and implement evidence-based public health programs.
• Develop and support policies and programs in collaboration with state and community partners.
