Job summary

San Bernardino County's Department of Public Health Laboratory is recruiting for a Public Health Microbiologist I Trainee. The role supports a CDPH mandated training program for up to six months, under close supervision, to develop required skills toward the fully qualified level.

Trainees participate in the County's deferred compensation plan and must pass a background check, physical exam, and drug screening. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Public Health Microbiologist Trainee certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).
• Must be eligible to work in the United States with legal right to work.
• Selected candidates must pass a background check, physical exam and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Work under training conditions while participating in CDPH mandated training program.
• Develop experience to perform at the fully qualified working level.
• Adhere to safety and supervision requirements during laboratory work.
