Job summary

The State of Hawaii, Disease Outbreak Control Division, Health Information Systems Office, seeks an experienced IT professional to conduct systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance across all computer platforms. You will support DOCD programs and staff with related hardware, software, and communications systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer sciences, or a related field.
Two and a half (2 1/2) years of progressively responsible work experience in computer systems analysis involving design, development, implementation and review of systems for electronic data processing.
Possession of a master's degree may substitute for 1 year of Specialized Experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct electronic data processing systems analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance for all computer platforms.
Provide user support and training for information technology applications and related hardware/software.
Negotiate and monitor vendors that provide IT services to the program.
Ensure DOCD fulfills its public health mission by allowing staff to focus on their technical areas.
