Duties and Responsibilities :The Program Manager provides critical day-to-day support to the PI of a grant and comprehensive knowledge and application of institutional policies and procedures in relation to the grant project; works closely with the PI to ensure effective management of essential grant activities (e.g., meeting timelines, completion of forms, completion of reports); provides complex calendar management by reviewing and assessing short-term and long-term priorities for the project; and coordinates internal and external meetings The manager ensures timely preparation for meetings and events by collecting and compiling required information and materials; performs and track follow-up tasks from meetings and engagements, to include drafting letters, acknowledgments and follow-up correspondence; coordinates materials and information flow, and tracks correspondence with various stakeholders (e.g., partnership schools, community representatives, consultants). Serves as a primary point of contact and intermediary between the PI and various internal and external constituencies and ensures a high level of efficiency in the operation of the grant project. The manager agrees to accept other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position that are not scripted in the announcement.
Education:The candidate must have a master’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Educational Leadership, or Organizational Psychology with extensive knowledge of working with government grants.
Experience:Grant writing and experience with compliance required to successfully meet the conditions of a government awarded grant are also desirable.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :Must have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and various computer programs as needed. Must have 3-5 years of experience.
