Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment seeks a Health Professional III to support the Office of STI/HIV/Viral Hepatitis. The role focuses on reducing drug-related health issues, HIV, and hepatitis through technical assistance, program coordination, and community partnerships.

The position emphasizes serving as subject matter expert and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to advance prevention, care, and treatment services statewide.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of relevant experience in harm reduction, drug user health, public health, behavioral health services, or closely related field.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is preferred.
• Knowledge of harm reduction, HIV/hepatitis, and drug user health is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored technical assistance and capacity building to Office staff and partners.
• Monitor program outcomes and adjust direction to maximize public health impact.
• Support syringe access and community-based infectious disease prevention services.
• Collaborate with local health departments, community organizations, and harm reduction agencies to strengthen programming.
• Assist in program and contract management for CDPHE-funded agencies.
