Job summary

The Department of Health - Division of Disease Prevention & Control in Pierre, SD is hiring for a full-time position that supports grant, contract, procurement, and fiscal operations. The role helps implement budgetary guidelines and monitor expenditures to align with grant activities.

Ideal candidate will have strong office and records management skills, familiarity with HIPAA and data security, and ability to coordinate travel, meetings, and communications for the division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools - Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, SharePoint;

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports budgetary guidelines, policies, and procedures to manage grants.
• Maintains and monitors fiscal activities for multiple programs to ensure compliance with department's fiscal requirements.
• Directs the purchasing activities for the division to ensure purchases and items purchased meet state requirements.
• Manage onboarding, annual, and ad hoc training for staff, including ensuring staff compliance with data security and confidentiality, HIPAA, standard operating procedures, and other trainings or certifications.
