Job summary

DC Health is seeking a Grants Management Specialist within the Office of the Director, Office of Grants Management to administer, implement, and monitor federal and private grant funds. You will help develop policies, maintain records, and report on all grant activity to support DC Health programs and community partners.

Qualifications

• Specialized Experience: 1 year of experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
• Preferred Qualifications: knowledge of OBM 2 CFR 200, generally accepted accounting and audit principles; knowledge of grants life-cycle, procurement; training is preferred.
• MS Office, Salesforce, and various database management systems are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages grants processes to ensure compliance with District regulations and best practices; implementation of efficient business processes; and achievement of best-in-class customer service.
• Updates grants manual in coordination with legal team and other District organizations.
• Ensures quality and consistency of work; identifies areas for improvement and provides training.
• Plans work to be accomplished, sets goals and priorities; stays abreast of current practices and trends in grants management.
• Develops and operates a record system to inventory and track all grants and sub-grants; maintains a grants information database and planning tools.
• Identifies alternative solutions to grants problems, integrates the work of others, and predicts future environments or impact on processing.
