Fulton County Board of Health is hiring for an Environmental Health Services Specialist II in the North Fulton Regional Health Center area. The role involves inspecting food service facilities, pools, body art venues, and onsite sewage systems, and investigating disease vectors and nuisance complaints.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in laboratory sciences with related coursework and experience at the PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 level or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited college/university with 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (chemistry, biology, geology, physics, etc.).
• One year of experience at the PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 level (RCP120) or position equivalent.
• Agency-certified trainings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect food service establishments, public swimming pools, tourist accommodations, body art establishments, and onsite sewage management systems.
• Investigate complaints related to rodents and mosquitoes within regulated facilities.
• Assist with plan reviews and enforcement actions as needed.
