The Fulton County Board of Health, Environmental Health Division, seeks a PH Envir Compl Specialist 3 to inspect facilities for health code compliance, review applications and permits, and respond to complaints. This role may also serve in a lead capacity.

A bachelor's degree with 27 semester hours in laboratory sciences and one year of related experience is required. Certification or training as specified may apply. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of PH Envir Compl Specialist 3 within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Environmental Health Division.

Under broad supervision, conducts inspections and audits of assigned facilities/sites for compliance with applicable health codes in a Public Health District. Reviews and/or prepares applications, permits and technical reports. Investigates and responds to complaints of potential health hazards and requests for service. Owns assigned tasks. May also serve in a lead role.

Inspect various types of food service establishments, public swimming pools, tourist accommodations, body art establishments, and onsite sewage management systems. May assist with reviewing plans and recommending enforcement action as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, which includes the completion of 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, geology, physics, etc.) and one (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Envir Compl Specialist 2 (RCP121) or equivalent position.

Note: Any agency‑specified certification/training that may be experience.
