Salt Lake County seeks a health education specialist to represent the Division of Community Health Services, leading education and promotion programs countywide. You will promote outdoor activity, support partnerships with clinics, and help administer community health initiatives.

The role focuses on health education planning, program evaluation, and collaboration with community partners to improve preventive health outcomes.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Health Education, Health Science, Public Health, or related field.
• Background check via fingerprinting and RAP Back program required.
• Valid Utah driver’s license required at hire; UT license within 6 months.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, plan and implement health education and outreach programs.
• Assess health education needs of diverse populations using appropriate tools.
• Develop and evaluate health education/promotions initiatives.
• Create marketing materials and promote events through multiple channels.
• Collaborate with communities and agencies to meet objectives.
• Prepare required reports and documents.
• Support policy development for population-based behavior change.
