Job summary

Riley County invites applications for County Administrator to coordinate administrative operations in alignment with Board policies and budgets. Qualifications

• 10 years of progressively responsible executive or senior management experience.
• Significant experience in local government operations, budgeting, and leadership.
• Experience working with elected officials and governing bodies.
• 2+ years’ experience writing or administering grants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages Riley County Human Resources, Financial Services, and Public Information divisions.
• Attends BOCC meetings; presents recommendations; advises on operational, financial, and strategic matters.
• Serves as chief administrative officer and implements policies established by the Board.
• Develops and implements countywide strategic plans aligned with Board priorities.
• Represents the County in interactions with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Oversees preparation of the annual operating budget and capital improvements.
• Maintains intergovernmental collaboration to advance community services.
