Job summary

South Dakota State Government invites motivated students to join the Department of Health - Division of Family and Community Health as an Intern in Chronic Disease for the Summer session (May–August). Qualifications

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and disseminate public health data for chronic disease prevention programs.
• Create or assist with data publications and dashboards for program needs.
• Support the central cancer registry with data requests, reports and projects.
• Assist with outreach projects and activities to improve health outcomes among target populations.
