Job summary

Arizona Department of Health Services is seeking an engaged intern pursuing a degree to support evaluation and overdose prevention activities. You will analyze data, help maintain a statewide naloxone distribution map, and assist in evaluating vending and peer navigation initiatives.

You will collaborate with program partners and communities, translate findings into reports and visuals, and gain hands-on experience in public health evaluation under supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and written skills.
• Interest in public health and overdose prevention.
• Time management, organization, planning and problem solving.
• Experience with data analysis and GIS/mapping tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support applied program evaluation and overdose prevention activities.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data; maintain a statewide naloxone map.
• Evaluate naloxone vending and peer navigation initiatives.
• Translate findings into reports, maps, and data visualizations for partners.
