Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Data Analyst I to provide NHSN Dialysis Event prevention and surveillance training support within the Surveillance Branch. You will assist dialysis providers, health departments, and quality organizations with NHSN module usage, data quality improvements, and training materials.

The role requires public health data analysis skills, proficiency in SAS/R/Python, and strong communication. A comprehensive benefits package is offered with competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of public health research and evaluation methods to analyze, evaluate, and advise.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally to present information effectively.
• Experience with data management, cleaning, and quality assessment analyses.
• Familiarity with CDC NHSN and CMS quality programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support guidance for the NHSN Dialysis Event module.
• Conduct user outreach and education to dialysis providers, quality organizations, and health departments.
• Analyze NHSN system daily function and propose data quality improvements.
• Update surveillance forms, instructions, and protocols with recommendations.
• Develop data validation projects to improve quality.
• Collaborate with SMEs to enhance usability of NHSN surveillance data.
• Manage reports, data exchanges, and agreements between CDC and partners.
• Review inquiries and prepare response documents related to NHSN and CMS programs.
• Assist enrollment and training on CDC HAI definitions and data entry; handle high volume workload.
• Identify system issues and prioritize modifications for NHSN modules.
• Create and promote NHSN reporting mechanisms and improve user interfaces.
• Prepare and deliver educational trainings about NHSN (20-30 annually).
• Draft and review training materials and outreach messages.
• Support meeting planning for NHSN-related activities.
