Job summary

Harris County Public Health in Houston seeks a Data Analyst to oversee data collection, management, and analytics for the CHVPS division (HART and RISE). You will work with Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI and ArcGIS to turn data into actionable insights that inform violence prevention and community health initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; experience in data projects preferred.
Two years of data project experience including data collection, management, and visualization.
Experience with Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Manages the full data analytics lifecycle from gathering requirements to reporting.
Utilizes Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI and ArcGIS for data work and visualization.
Develops analytics products to support strategic initiatives and evaluation efforts.
Fulfills ad-hoc data requests and supports emergency response tasks as needed.
Engages stakeholders and communicates insights through reports and dashboards.
Prepares and delivers presentations to communicate findings.
