Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks an Instructional Support Specialist to assist upper‑division public health courses and related duties. The role focuses on grading, tutoring, and in‑class support under supervision of the Instructor of Record in the School of Human Ecology.

Successful candidates will work with faculty to enhance student learning, coordinate office hours, and help with accommodations and course administration as part of a team dedicated to undergraduate public health education.

Qualifications

• Part-time positions require enrollment in good standing in an accredited graduate school of public health.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
• Commitment to supporting undergraduate public health education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and grading of homework, quizzes, exams, papers and other assignments.
• Lead activities, demonstrations, discussions, and pre-exam review sessions; provide office hours and tutoring.
• Provide course-based admin support to the Instructor of Record, including grade reporting and proctoring.
• Assist students with university-approved accommodations (military, athletes, Disability & Access).
• Support ISS duties post-class with trainings and preparation for next semester.
