Qualifications

• Master's degree in environmental science or related field.
• Seven years of experience in public health or a related field.
• Four years in management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in daily functions of Public Health.
• Oversee managers of Environmental Health Services, North Texas Regional Laboratory and Epidemiology.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and policies.
• Keep Director abreast of changes in regulatory activities and closures on a daily basis.
• Testify in court as part of law enforcement, rules and regulations.
• Represent Environmental Health, North Texas Regional Laboratory and Epidemiology Departments at meetings.
• Oversee budgets and assist with development and implementation of area goals.
• Provide technical assistance and leadership to the Director.
