Job summary

Linn County Public Health Department seeks an assessments-focused supervisor to lead branch staff, guide data analysis, and drive CHA/CHIP efforts. You will develop partnerships, manage budgets, and secure funding to support public health priorities.

You will oversee data reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance evidence-based practices while fostering a customer-centered culture across Linn County programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, community health, epidemiology, or related field.
• Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, or closely related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in program planning, implementation, capacity building, coalition coordination, evaluation and sustainability in health/human services; two (2) years in grant management and resource development.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, supervision, and strategic guidance to staff; includes hiring, training, evaluating, and developing personnel.
• Guides analysis of population health data; ensures timely data collection and reporting; monitors health trends and outcomes.
• Engages stakeholders to conduct CHA/CHIP and implements evidence-based public health practices.
• Identifies population health needs, maps services, and identifies gaps in health services.
• Prepares, monitors, and justifies the branch budget; allocates resources and ensures fiscal responsibility.
• Identifies external funding streams, including grants and interagency contracts.
• Develops and manages data-sharing agreements and ensures compliance, confidentiality, and security for all public health data.
• Oversees reports to leadership and partners; ensures timeliness and accuracy.
• Engages community stakeholders through outreach and collaborative planning.
• Leads epidemiologic research and collaborates with LCPH to implement evidence-based practice; monitors trends.
• Monitors timekeeping, leave usage, and attendance; models customer-centered culture.
• Performs related duties as assigned; listens to the Voice of the Customer.
