The Orange County Health Care Agency seeks a Staff Aid II to support Quality Management within the Health Care Agency. You will assist in planning, research activities and recruitment for grant-funded studies focused on substance-exposed babies in Orange County.

The role involves coordinating with hospitals, OB doctors, and staff, training personnel on study protocols and handling survey data with accuracy and discretion.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of the principles and theories of management and related professional disciplines may be required.
• Ability to collect and evaluate information, reason logically and define alternatives.
• Ability to read and understand forms, documents and letters in technical language.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, the public or other agencies.
• Ability to follow complex written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret elementary statistical measures.
• Ability to use a microcomputer or calculator.
• Ability to travel to work sites using a county-approved means of transportation.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability To

• Assisting in the planning and recruitment of the 18 birthing hospitals in Orange County and OB doctors who provide prenatal care for pregnant OC residents.
• Help train hospital labor and delivery staff on the study protocol.
• Help distribute and collect survey instruments, clean and process results.
