Job summary

Delaware County Health Department seeks an Administrator to manage day-to-day operations and personnel, providing senior leadership and public health expertise to achieve the department’s mission and objectives.

The role ensures compliance with local health regulations, oversees programs, and guides staff with mentoring and strategic direction. A RN-licensed BSN with public health experience is required, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; RN licensure in PA preferred.
• Cumulative public health experience required; capable of senior management.
• Strong leadership for department-wide programs, budgeting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, administer, and supervise public health nursing services and programs.
• Provide administrative and clinical oversight of mobile and clinic health services.
• Develop program goals, policies, and procedures; advise staff on interpretation.
• Maintain program records and prepare technical, administrative, and financial reports.
• Represent the department on community and state committees; participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities.
• Collaborate with health care providers, agencies, and community groups to implement programs.
