Job summary

The Florida Department of Health seeks an Operations Manager to serve as Accreditation Section Manager within the Bureau of Community Health Assessment. This leadership role oversees the Department's public health accreditation efforts, ensuring compliance with Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) standards, supervising staff, coordinating accreditation processes, and providing technical assistance to county health departments.

The position is full-time and in-office, located in Tallahassee.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in public health, public administration, social sciences, or related field.
• Professional experience in public health, social services, performance management, quality improvement, or strategic planning.
• Strong knowledge of applied research and evaluation methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, plan, prioritize, coordinate work, and build collaborative relationships.
• Experience working with county health departments or similar public health organizations (preferred).
