Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience in MUDs, special districts, public finance, and/or bond work.
• Experience representing governmental entities, water districts, special authorities, or private developers preferred.
• Strong understanding of Texas public law, district governance, and public finance matters.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Represent municipal utility districts, special districts, and other governmental entities in a variety of legal matters.
• Advise clients on district formation, governance, operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Handle bond transactions and public finance matters, including financing for infrastructure and community development projects.
• Assist with legal issues involving water districts, special authorities, and related public entities.
• Counsel developers and businesses on matters involving infrastructure development, land use, and regulatory approvals.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on applicable Texas laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop practical solutions to complex legal and business issues.
