Job summary

MassDevelopment, the Commonwealth’s development finance agency, seeks an Associate in Investment Banking to support public and infrastructure finance from proposal to closing. You will work with senior staff, bond counsel, underwriters, and government agencies in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers exposure to bond transactions, post-issuance compliance, and business development, while coordinating complex projects across programs and stakeholders within Massachusetts’ finance landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
• Interest in bond finance, real estate finance, municipal finance, or related fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of tax-exempt bond financing is preferred.
• Experience with financial modeling or underwriting is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Support bond transactions by assisting with financing proposals, committee materials, timelines, distribution lists, closing activities, and client meetings.
• Coordinate transaction-related deadlines, hearings, notices, and submissions to state and government agencies.
• Maintain transaction, closing, and database records and prepare reports for management.
• Manage post-issuance requirements, including borrower compliance and regulatory filings.
• Support infrastructure finance activities, including RFPs, procurements, contracts, and project costs.
• Maintain vendor and service provider lists and assist with RFQs and proposals.
• Develop and maintain presentation materials for client, board, and committee meetings.
• Collaborate on outreach initiatives, conferences, and business development activities.
• Conduct research and support special projects and department policies.
