Job summary

Texas Water Development Board seeks a journey-level financial analyst to support outlays and escrow processing for the Flood Infrastructure Fund and other programs. You will compile, review, and analyze financial data and deliver timely payment actions.

You will maintain documentation, train others when needed, and ensure compliance with laws and agency procedures while providing excellent customer service to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Two years of relevant work experience in accounting and/or finance.
• Relevant education and experience can be substituted for each other on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Computes analyzes, prepares, and processes outlays and escrow releases in accordance with approved guidelines and procedures.
• Ensures that all documents are maintained with exemplary organization, quality, and accuracy for review, payment processing, and/or release.
• Updates Outlay templates and provides customers with updated copies.
• Processes information by auditing and verifying financial data.
• Ensures compliance with established procedures, requirements, laws, and regulations, completeness of data, and presence of adequate documentation.
• Updates profiles of entities to ensure that information is current and accurate.
• Attends Board Meeting (online/in-person) and then updates workbook tracker.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
