The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) is seeking an Accountant II to support daily financial processing, reporting and payroll, with strong internal controls. This role contributes to ACFR reporting and tax filings while collaborating with program staff and agency partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance required.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations: manages accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts with accuracy.
• Payroll Support: biweekly payroll, benefits processes and salary changes under applicable policies.
• Manage Vendor Accounting: vendor-related processing, documentation and payments with cross-team coordination.
• Internal Controls: design and follow internal controls; ensure compliance and process improvements.
• Contribute to Special Projects and Continuous Improvement: participate in financial process improvement initiatives.
• Reporting & Filing: assist with ACFR preparation and tax filings, year-end adjustments and reconciliations.
