Job summary

City of Rialto is seeking a diligent custodial worker to maintain the Police Department facilities and surrounding grounds. You will perform routine cleaning, security checks, and basic building maintenance to support a safe, clean environment.

The role requires basic custodial experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid California driver’s license. A background check and drug screening are part of the process, with regular day or night shifts and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial experience or more.
• Valid California Driver's License required.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties to maintain buildings, office space, and adjacent grounds.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform floor care including stripping, waxing, and refinishing as needed.
• Clean restrooms, dust surfaces, wash windows, and restock supplies.
• Move and arrange furniture; set up facilities for events and meetings.
• Identify and report maintenance problems and ensure security during shifts.
• Assist with coordinating service repairs with outside vendors as required.
