Job summary

City of Round Rock is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, order, and safety of city facilities while delivering excellent customer service. The position may require night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms for events, restocking supplies, routine cleaning, and outdoor area maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and custodial experience are required, along with a Texas driver's license or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months of custodial experience.
• Current Texas Class C driver license or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs, push, pull, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the City’s facilities; provides excellent customer service.
• Prepares rooms for events and meetings by arranging furniture, assembling tables, cleaning, and returning items to storage.
• Maintains custodial closets by shelving supplies, replenishing dispensers, and listing needs for supervisor; may order supplies.
• Performs routine cleaning duties: mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, restrooms, trash removal, stocking supplies, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Performs outdoor and parking garage maintenance: litter pickup, trash receptacles, cleaning elevators, and spills.
• Collaborates with facility on other cleaning needs as they arise.
