Job summary

Everest Insurance is seeking an Underwriter, Public Entity to join our growing Public Entity team. This role will be responsible for underwriting and managing a nationwide portfolio of Public Entity business while driving profitable growth, building strong broker relationships, and executing underwriting strategies aligned with Everest's risk appetite and business objectives.

The successful candidate will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external trading partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of insurance underwriting experience, preferably Public Entity.
• Proven profitability in underwriting and client management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work in multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Triage and review submissions and provide terms and conditions.
• Prepare proposals based on informed judgment and market conditions.
• Develop profitable Public Entity portfolio growth.
• Execute risk-focused strategy to drive growth and profitability.
