Civica Law Group, APC in Irvine, CA, is seeking a mid-level Associate Litigation Attorney to join our public entity defense practice. This hybrid, full-time role offers exposure to general liability, law enforcement, premises liability, and related litigation for cities, counties, and other public agencies.

We seek an active California Bar member with strong writing and research skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, and eager to contribute to meaningful local-government

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• Experience in civil litigation or public entity defense.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in local government, public safety, or code enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Defend civil litigation matters for public-agency clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions as needed.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Work with attorneys and paralegals on case strategy.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
• Independently manage daily tasks and deadlines on multiple matters.
• Strategize with team input on resolution through motion practice, settlement, or trial.
