Jobot is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our litigation team in Irvine, CA. The focus is municipal/public entity law, including land use, zoning, and code enforcement.

You will provide counsel to municipalities and school districts and represent clients in hearings and trials. The ideal candidate has a JD, admission to the California bar, at least 3 years in municipal or government law, and strong research, negotiation, and communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• JD from an accredited law school
• Bar admission in good standing
• At least 3 years in municipal/government law, land use, or public entity
• Experience representing clients in court proceedings
• Strong knowledge of municipal/public entity law
• Excellent research, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work well in a team and uphold ethics

Aufgaben

• Provide legal counsel to municipalities and school districts on land use, zoning, code enforcement, and policy development
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials related to municipal and public entity law
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, ordinances, resolutions, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research on complex municipal/public entity issues
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and liabilities
• Provide training on municipal/public entity law to clients
• Collaborate with team to develop strategies for complex issues
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and trends
