Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Junior Public Engagement & Outreach Analyst to support the planning and delivery of inclusive engagement for electric transmission projects. You will build relationships with communities, landowners, public officials, agencies, Tribal representatives, and environmental justice communities across planning, permitting, construction, and closeout.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in stakeholder engagement and can translate technical information for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, community relations, or communications.
• Ability to translate technical project information into clear language for diverse audiences.
• Strong research, organization, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with stakeholder databases or GIS-based outreach tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% for site visits and events.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach using established scripts and engagement protocols.
• Maintain stakeholder databases, action-item trackers, and comment logs.
• Participate in meetings with landowners, communities, agencies, and public officials.
• Identify questions and issues requiring escalation using established guidance.
• Develop foundational knowledge of transmission projects and community engagement practices.
