Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Junior Public Engagement & Outreach Analyst to support planning and delivery of inclusive engagement for electric transmission projects. You will build relationships with landowners, communities, officials, and other stakeholders through project life cycle.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in stakeholder engagement, excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public policy, environmental studies, planning, political science, community development, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, public affairs, community relations, or communications.
• Ability to translate technical project information into clear language for diverse audiences.
• Strong research, organization, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with stakeholder relationship databases or GIS outreach tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach using established scripts, templates, and engagement protocols.
• Maintain stakeholder databases, action-item trackers, comment logs, contact lists, and project records
• Participate in meetings with landowners, communities, agencies, and public officials
• Apply established guidance to identify questions, issues, and commitments requiring escalation.
• Develop foundational knowledge of transmission projects, permitting processes, and community engagement practices.
