Job summary

Goosehead Insurance Agency LLC seeks a Corporate Controller to lead our core accounting functions, including general, revenue, and technical accounting, reporting to the VP of Finance. This hands‑on leader will own the monthly close, external audits, and ICFR, while building a scalable accounting team in a fast‑growth environment.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with public company experience, Big 4 background, and strong expertise in SEC reporting and policy development to drive accurate financial

Qualifications

• CPA required and public company experience.
• 10–15 years of progressive accounting with leadership.
• Big 4 background and SEC reporting expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead general, revenue, and technical accounting.
• Drive monthly close and improve close timeliness.
• Oversee external reporting (10‑Q/10‑K/8‑K) and SEC compliance.
• Set accounting policy and monitor new standards.
• Oversee tax accounting with external providers.
• Manage external audit and strengthen ICFR.
• Configure and control NetSuite/Workiva systems.
• Communicate accounting implications of contracts and revenue.
• Develop a high‑performing accounting team.
