Job summary

Goosehead Insurance in Westlake, TX seeks a Corporate Controller to lead core accounting functions including general, revenue, technical accounting, and tax. This is a hands‑on role reporting to the VP of Finance with a focus on building a strong accounting team and scalable processes.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with public company experience and Big 4 background who can manage monthly closes, external reporting (10-Q/10-K/8-K), and ICFR. NetSuite and Workiva experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA required with public company experience and Big 4 background is highly desirable.
• 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience including leadership in public companies.
• Strong SEC reporting experience and expertise in internal controls (SOX/ICFR).

Responsibilities

• Own general, revenue, and technical accounting; ensure accurate, complete records.
• Lead the monthly close and drive timeliness and scalability of close processes.
• Manage external financial reporting (SEC filings: 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) and policy framework.
• Oversee tax accounting and coordinate with outside tax providers; manage external audit.
