About the role

We are hiring a Public Cloud Project Manager. This role involves managing customer relationships, advocating for Canonical's technical assets, and leading multiple projects with stakeholders from software engineering to senior executives. Periodic international travel is required.

Location

This position is remote within the Americas region.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and resources.
2. Identify and mitigate technical and project risks.
3. Maintain strong customer focus and collaborate with stakeholders.
4. Conduct regular status meetings and business reviews.
5. Manage delivery schedules and third-party deliverables.
6. Handle cross-organizational engineering requests.
7. Advocate for appropriate Canonical technologies to customers.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in IT Cloud, software development, or project management roles.
2. Deep understanding of Linux, open source, and public cloud.
3. Software engineering experience.
4. Excellent communication skills in English.
5. Experience leading remote, cross-cultural teams.
6. Negotiation and influencing skills.
7. Bachelor's degree in STEM.
8. Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent).
9. Agile/Scrum Master certification.
10. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
