Role Summary

We are hiring a Public Cloud Project Manager. This role involves managing customer relationships and advocating for Canonical's technical assets. It is ideal for a technologist passionate about Linux and Project Management, eager to build a career with Canonical. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders from software engineering to senior executives, managing multiple projects, and shaping agreements with clients.

Location

This role is remote within the Americas region. Periodic international travel will be required.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, and resources.
2. Identify and mitigate technical and project risks.
3. Maintain strong customer focus and stakeholder engagement.
4. Conduct status meetings and business reviews.
5. Manage delivery schedules of third-party deliverables.
6. Handle cross-organization engineering requests outside existing contracts.
7. Advocate for Canonical's technologies to customers.

Candidate Requirements

1. Proven experience in IT Cloud, software development, or project management roles.
2. Deep understanding of Linux, open source, and public cloud.
3. Experience in software engineering.
4. Excellent communication skills in English.
5. Experience leading remote, cross-cultural teams.
6. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
7. Bachelor's degree in STEM.
8. Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
9. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
